Normandale Preschool Student, Mason Gibbons wins Novice Chess Tournament Trophy Mason Gibbons, son of Erica and John Gibbons, competed in the SCA Statewide Grade Level Chess Tournament on February 25, representing Normandale Preschool . This was Mason’s first time playing in a tournament. He competed in the kindergarten bracket along with 21 other students. Mason played 5 rounds, winning 3 matches and losing 2. The tournament was held at Capitol Hill Magnet School in St. Paul. Each player represents his or her school and Mason was proud to be representing Normandale Preschool.

Standard and Staff

Normandale Preschool is licensed through the Department of Human Services and The Evangelical Lutheran Education Association.  We are licensed to serve 75 students per session with a total enrollment of 150 students.  The student/teacher ratio is no more than 1 to 10 for children ages three to five years. 

Our teachers are well educated early childhood professionals who model their Christian faith daily within the classroom. All participate in programs of continuing education for professional advancement in Early Childhood Education.
